Najaf e Ashraf the holy city of the Mashhad of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib is located in current day Iraq around a 160 km south of Baghdad.

It is said that one of the Abbasi Khaleefas went deer hunting outside Kufa and the deer sought sanctuary at a place where the hounds would not pursue it. On inquiry as to why the place was a sanctuary the Khaleefa was told that it was the burial place of Maulana Ali ibne Abi Talib SA.

In the center of the holy city of Najaf lies the Marqad and Qubba Mubarakah of Ameerulmuneen AS. All roads of the city lead towards the haram. Hundreds and thousand and millions of zaereen come to the holy city of Najaf.

alDai alAjal Syedna Taher Saifuddin RA has built the zareeh mubarak of the Marqad of Ameerulmumeneen SA. Faize Husaini alNajaf alAshraf is located very close to the haram. Inshaallah taala in the very near future a brand new building of the Faiz is close to its completion.
